 Response from students and their families
to our requests for hosts for
our Japanese
visitors was outstanding. The
school's sincere
thanks go to all who are prepared
to act
as emergency hosts, to stand
in for original
hosts if necessary.
We managed to find a host for
everyone in
the Shiga party a month before
their arrival,
leaving plenty of time for hosts
and visitors
to get in touch and get to know
each other
a little.
To have found hosts so promptly
for 35 girls
and 2 teachers staying for 11
days (20 -
31 July) reflects the openness
and generosity
in the school community. I hope
that the
whole experience is enjoyable
and worthwhile
for all taking part.
